I believe in nature and our bodies natural movement to play with nature. I chose to work with the body because I have learned through years of experience and practice that happiness is integrated into physical wellbeing. Life brought me to learn massage therapy through my family in Durango, Durango Mexico, study pharmacology and anatomy during years of higher education at San Juan College, then become a student of massage therapy at Downeast School of massage, graduating in 2023.

Furthering my education was an easy decision as I decided to study the lymphatic system and become a CMLDT in Maine. Continuing with over 200 hours in my studies, I have been exceptionally grateful to learn from classes, teachers, and case studies for TMJ Dysfunction manual therapy, Asana movement for therapeutic application under Elizabeth April of the Portland Yoga Project, and Thai Massage with foundation classes and one on one mentorship. Applying fluid movement with intention and manual therapy is my greatest education and practice.

As I come from travel, herbalism, and nature in so many years of my history, I have braided nature into the intentional and evidence-based therapy I offer, working with Little Sister herbalism for therapy focused oils and salves, and temperature and plant based traditional treatments from Mexico. I am driven to learn because I know that healing is of the mind, body, and emotional space we can call heart, spirit, or stomach, however you feel it.

My enthusiasm for massage therapy was sparked many years ago when I experienced a bodywork session that completely altered my understanding of what was possible from touch therapy. I felt deeply connected with myself and walked away intrigued and inspired. This feeling was like a glowing ember I kept safe in my heart. Inspired once more by the start of a new life with the birth of my daughter, I returned home to Maine to begin my training at the Downeast School of Massage. I graduated and received my license in July of 2018.

Since then I have studied CranioSacral therapy at the Upledger Institute, Deep Massage with David Lauterstein, massage for oncology with Patti Corscaden, and then went further into oncology training with Heal Well - an organization devoted to teaching how to safely touch those affected by illness. I have been certified as a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist with Klose Trainings, and I have also received certification in Acupressure Fundamentals after extensive study with Ching Liu of Golden Needle Wellness at Downeast School of Massage. In 2023 I joined the faculty of DSM teaching an introductory class on CranioSacral therapy.
Over the years, I have been honored to help a wide range of clients including pregnant mothers, children, elders, hospice patients, and everyone in between, finding especially positive results with those suffering from chronic pain.
I practice intuitive and evidence based dimensional therapeutic massage, CranioSacral therapy, accupressure, and manual lymphatic drainage. I am passionate about education and positive communication with my clients. I put a strong focus on physical and emotional safety in the potentially vulnerable space of the massage therapy office, and I take extra care to help folks find safety and comfort within their bodies, and the right words to advocate for their own needs during the session.
I was born hard of hearing and in my late 20’s began to lose whole frequencies in my hearing. I have identified as deaf since my mid 30’s. I am still well able to carry conversation in person with the help of hearing-aids and skill in speech reading. I believe this loss has triggered an expansion in my other senses, including increased focus and perception in my ability to see and feel.
